How to Use PET Braided Cable Sleeve
Instructions:
-
Measure and Cut: Measure the cable length needed and cut it using scissors, leaving out the excess length for adjustments. To prevent fraying, it is best to use a hot knife or sear the edges of the cable before cutting the sleeve.
-
Prepare Cables: Make sure your cables are clean and dust-free. Straighten them to prevent tangling.
-
Insert Cables: Carefully bundle the cables into the expanded sleeve. Ensure a snug fit for each cable.
-
Secure Ends: Use heat shrink tape, electrical tape, heat shrink tubing, or cable ties to secure both ends of the sleeve. This should prevent sleeve fraying.
-
Trim Excess: Trim any excess sleeve material for a neat finish.
-
Maintenance: Periodically check the cable sleeve for wear and tear, especially in high-traffic areas or where it might be exposed to other factors, like pets. Replace or re-secure as needed.
