Instructions
1. Before installing the ATack Fiberglass Tape, it would be best to measure the strip sizes and the exact areas which you need to install the tape. Make sure that the surfaces are dry and the cement boards are clean and free of moisture before installing the tape.
2. Pre-cut the tape based on your desired strip lengths and sizes. You can use a sharp pair of scissors or a cutter to cut the water proofing tape. Important: We care about your safety. Please be careful in handling sharp objects. Make sure that the blade's sharp edge and direction of operation is facing aways from you while cutting.
3. Apply a liquid waterproofing membrane to the surface and then put the waterproofing membrane Tape. You can use any liquid membrane as the ATack Waterproofing membrane Fabric Sheet is built compatible with all leading waterproofing membrane liquids. Make sure to cover all seams, joints, and areas on your wall with the membrane and the tape.
4. Finally, Coat the tape with an additional layer of the waterproofing liquid, forming a liquid-tape-liquid trilayer.
5. Apply more tape strips as needed.
6. Let the tape and membrane cure and dry overnight.
How To: Neat and Professional Setup
To achieve a cleaner and professional-looking application, follow the following steps:
1. Cut the tape strips precisely to avoid overlapping and uneven surfaces. If it can't be avoided, then applying more membrane liquid to confirm the fabric's shape with the wall.
2. Applying 2-3 layers of the tape for a stronger and more waterproof application. Do not forget to use a waterproofing membrane liquid every after layer.
3. The ATack Waterproofing Membrane Sheet is compatible on all leading waterproofing membrane liquid brands such as RedGard and Laticrete.
Multiple Layer Application
You can also opt applying multiple layers to increase the waterproofing. If you are to do so, applying the layers in varying and perpendicular angles. By creating a criss-cross pattern for 2-3 layers, you can produce a support that is rigid.
