Tips & Instructions For XFasten Double-Sided Tape

1. Clean both surfaces where you would be installing the tape. Lint, dirt, and dust can significantly lessen the bonding strength of adhesives.
2. Peel the tape from the roll. Do not cut a strip first.
3. Apply the tape on the surface, with the other end of the tape still spooled on the roll.
4. Cut the tape, making sure that you apply tension on the strip by partially pulling the roll. The tension will make the tape easier to cut.
5. Removed the adhesive liner. To separate the adhesive liner easily, you can use any flat tipped object like a card, knife's edge or your fingernail to create an initial gap between the liner and the tape.
6. apply more strips by repeating steps 2-5.

Peeling the Adhesive Liner
If you are having troubles in separating the adhesive liner from the Double-Sided Tape, then you could use any flat tipped object, like your nail or a thin card to create an initially small gap which can be fully peeled to release the liner. Also, to improve the bonding strength, it is recommended to apply as much tape as possible as the surface area allows.

Classic, Extra Sticky or Easy- to-Tear
The XFasten Double-Sided Tape, aside from the various sizes that it comes with, also comes with multiple strength and tearability ratings depending on your setup and preference. The classic Double- Sided Tape is the timeless double-faced adhesive that everyone has come to love. The Extra Sticky variant comes with double the adhesive and bonding strength in comparison with average double-sided tape strips. The easy-to-tear variant is a medium- duty adhesive tape that is easy to cut by hand. Do you want to try out any of these tape variants? Contact us to learn more about them!

Removing the Adhesive
On rare cases, the adhesive can stick into objects such as the edge of a scissor. The adhesive can be easily removed by either of the following steps:
1. Partially melting the adhesive using the warm air exhaust of a hair dryer. After partially melting the adhesive, then you can simply wipe off the adhesive residue.
2. Wiping the surface with a warm water with soap and white vinegar solution. You can also mix in some baking soda to the solution.
3. Applying Goo Gone solution, lighter fluid, or kerosene on the surface. The residue can easily be removed and wiped clean through this process.
